Hi I'm Elisa! First and foremost, I am a storyteller, and then I am a photographer. Before I picked up a camera, I used writing as a tool to remember moments. Now, I use a camera to create keepsakes I may never see or experience again. I try to instill the emotions and feelings I experienced when I press my shutter button so that a little piece of me is put out with every photo I take. Behind every picture, I tell a story, and with a series of photos, I aim to write a visual book.
My work has been published in the New York Times, has been shown at the Museum of the City of New York, has been used in collaboration with the Tribeca Film Festival and Street Dreams Magazine, has been displayed on Millennium High School's website, and is exclusively used in a partnership at QuarterVida, a lifestyle website and blog. For a portfolio of my writing, please look here for my journalism writing or here for my copywriting.
When I'm not taking photos or waxing poetic about photography, I love to hike, camp, row, build boats with the Village Community Boathouse, and seek opportunities to learn new skills.
I am based in Manhattan where I live with my husband.
Please feel free to contact me with questions, concerns, or just to say hello!
Opportunities to purchase prints will be available shortly.
